Morrocan Styled Shoot

This was my first attempt at a full blown styled shoot involving different wedding service providers in a collaborate effort to create something truly beautiful and unique. The make-up artist, Mariette Synman, became friends with a Morrocan lady and as the two of them chatted about her culture, Marette was inspired to do a photoshoot. She contacted me and the two of us decided to do a Moroccan styled shoot, but with a twist. We got a team of talented service providers on board, and from there the shoot took on a life of it’s own – coming together piece by piece. We wanted to evolve slightly away from the boho-style that would typically be expected with this theme. We hand-picked only specific elements from Moroccan weddings to incorporate in our shoot. De Villiers Gesin

Dit was so 'n voorreg om Nanette en Pierre-Benn se eerste babatjie te kon afneem! Ten spyte van al ons pogings wou die pragtige klein seuntjie net niks weet van slaap nie en het vreeslik belang gestel in alles wat om hom aangaan. Gelukkig het die slaap hom einde ten laaste darem oorval en kon ons die paar kaal foto's neem wat sy ma so graag wou hê om daardie kleinste lyfie vir ewig te kan onthou!

Moller Gesin

Ek het vir Ilze en Henk afgeneem net nadat hulle uitgevind het van hulle eersteling se koms. Dit was 'n wonderlike voorreg om hulle weer te kon afneem en die vriendelike mannetjie te ontmoet! Hy was so 'n plesier ek kon nie ophou foto's neem nie. Die moment as ek die kamera op hom rig, kyk hy op en glimlag soos 'n ou pro! Hoop julle geniet die oulike foto's van Jakobus so baie soos ek.

Latsky Gesin

Die Latsky's is goeie vriende van ons en dit was so lekker om die borrelende, lewenslustige gesin te kon afneem! Te oordeel aan hoe skoon klein Gia was toe ons begin het en hoe lekker vuil sy was teen die einde, dink ek dis veilig om te sê die kinders het die sessie nog meer as ek geniet!

Werner and Bronwyn

I had the wonderful privilege before to photograph these two "secretly" when Werner proposed to Bronwyn, but it was fantastic to work with them on this engagement session. I am really looking forward to their wedding! They are such a loving couple who have been together for long enough to know each other through and through and are completely at ease in each other's company. We spent a beautiful morning in Stellenbosch where they could just be together and enjoy a great cup of coffee at Meraki while I snapped away. I am very happy with just how beautiful these photos came out. I hope you enjoy them too!

Richardson Family

I've had the wonderful privilege to photograph this fun loving, energetic family a couple of times and since I met them 5 years ago, they've also become dear friends of ours. The Richardsons moved to Croyden recently and wanted to do a lifestyle shoot in their new home. We spent a lovely afternoon together whilst I snapped them doing what they love most - being a family and living life to the fullest! It is impossible to get these boys to sit still and even a game of Rugby couldn't rid them of all their excess energy! I am so proud to have this shoot featured on Toddler Friends!

[ s p a s i e ] – Lapo Magni

This week Spasie welcomed chef Lapo Magni of The Drunken Tuscan into their kitchen. Lapo won Italy's MasterChef competition, but luckily for us he has a deeply seated love for Cape Town, so we can enjoy his culinary masterpieces on a regular basis. This spirited, full blood Italian treated Spasie's guests to a feast that started of with bruschetta topped with the most delicious chicken liver pate ( his mom's recipe) followed by a "climaxing risotto" that delighted everyone! He made the risotto in a huge bowl, placed a bottle of champagne in the centre, poured in some sugar and voila, a "climaxing" risotto with true Itlaian flair! Next up was beef ragu made from cow's cheek meat, a delicatessen that is unbelievably tender and tasty. Elizna en Stevie

Ek het 'n heerlike tyd saam met Elizna en Stevie gehad tydens hulle verlowingsfotosessie. Op pad na Bettiesbaai het ons heerlik gesels en mekaar sommer heelwat beter leer ken. En voor die kamera is die twee enige fotograaf se droom! Nie net is hulle twee pragtige mense nie, maar hulle het so 'n gemaklike, rustige liefde vir mekaar dat dit lyk of die wêreld maar om hulle kan vergaan as hulle in mekaar se oë kyk. Verder het die sagte, mistige lig en pastel sonsondergang die perfekte agtergrond geskep vir die romantiese foto's. Baie dankie dat ek julle kon afneem, dit was wonderlik! Ek sien geweldig baie uit na julle troue in Maart!

Hierdie pragtige klein seuntjie gesiggie is genoeg om enige moeder hart heeltemal week te maak! Hy is die dierbaarste, soetste babatjie en word omring deur liefde. Selfs sy oupa en ouma wat naby woon kom loer elke oggend in as dit sy wakker tyd is om bietjie met hom te kuier. Baie dankie dat julle my gevra het om die kosbare tyd af te neem. Dit was heerlik om die oggend saam met julle te spandeer!
