Ncumisa and Bongani will be welcoming there first little baby boy into this world very soon. We spent a beautiful evening together on Gordon's Bay beach to capture these last special moments of Ncumisa's pregnancy as the sun was setting. Perfect!
It is the most wonderful privilege to see little Rebecca grow up in front of my lens. I met this loving family when they were still eagerly expecting their little miracle baby. I then got to enjoy her as a tiny little newborn, and then again as the friendliest, chubbiest 8 month old you can imagine! The family recently moved to Hermanus, and I couldn't believe my eyes when this gorgeous girl with golden locks was standing in front of me when I got there! Time really goes too fast. Rebecca is as delightful as ever, full of fun and mischieve, and ALWAYS friendly and happy. Never a dull moment with her around! On Friday evening I had the privilege of photographing (and enjoying!) the delicious creations from the talented chefs from Santa Anna's. It all happened at Spasie, the most fantastic underground restaurant in the Bo-Kaap during one of their signature #ChefsTable events. The Santa Anna's Team treated guests to a 5 course, Latin American inspired, gourmet BBQ dinner, which was simply exquisite! To top it all off, their food was perfectly paired with some of La Vierge's best wines.
Martin en Hannelie het Kaap toe gekom vanaf Gauteng om hulle huweliksherdenking hier te vier. Hulle het in 'n kothuis op die pragtige Haskell Wynlandgoed tuisgegaan en ons het die foto's sommer net daar geneem. Die wingerde en asemrowende sonsondergang het gesorg vir die perfekte plek om hulle spesiale herinneringe en ervarings van die mooiste Kaap vas te vang. Baie dankie dat julle my gevra het om julle af te neem. Ek het die middag saam met julle vreeslik geniet!
On a very windy day in Kommetjie I had the wonderful privilege to photograph this beautiful family. They got together from all over with their families for their mom's 70th birthday. It is one of the most beautiful and precious things in life when there is so much love and laughter shared amongst family members and it is visible in each and every one of these photos. It was such a pleasure to meet all of you!

This beautiful father and daughter session is enough to make your heart melt. Not only is Saige as gorgeous and free spirited as her name, but she clearly loves her dad to the moon and back. Her love and respect for him is visible in every photo. It was the most perfect evening in Gordon's Bay and with Saige peacefully playing in the sand during a magnificent sunset there wasn't a better way for them to say goodbye to her grandparents on the last day of their visit. And to top it off, they'll now have these photos to remember those precious moments forever!
SecretEats celebrated their second birthday in the picturesque Elgin valley. They teamed up with Elgin Vintners and the talented chefs from Santa Anna's to treat their guests to an exquisite dining experience under the stars. The delicious slow smoked meat that featured in every dish was perfectly paired with some of Elgin Vintners best wines. As you can see from these photos, the evening was enjoyed thoroughly by each and everyone that was there, so be sure not to miss the next SecretEats event!
Werner's proposal to Bronwyn was hands down one of the most romantic things I've ever seen. When he told me about his plans I got super excited and was so thankful that he chose me to photograph this very special event. My biggest worry was how I was going to contain the tears the moment he drops down on one knee to ask the big question! I am super sentimental and not to be trusted to remain dried eyed on such occasions. (Luckily, I managed!) For their 5ht anniversary as a couple, Werner took one photo from each year they have been together and had a poster made with a beautiful quote. He planned a romantic walk through the gardens at Vergelegen and placed the posters at strategic spots so that they can only be seen once you are right next to one of them. My vriendin en super talentvolle mede-fotograaf, Samantha Clifton, het 'n portret sessie van die legendariese haar-en-gremeerkunstenaar Lisa Brown gedoen. Sy wou 'n paar "behind the scenes" foto's hê en het my gevra om saam te kom. Ek was maar al te gewillig! Sam doen baie styled shoots en haar werk is meer hoogmode georienteerd as myne. Dis altyd lekker om van ander te leer en Sam is een van daai mense by wie ek GEWELDIG baie leer, in alle opsigte. Dankie dat ek kon deel wees van julle fotosessie. Ek het dit so baie geniet.
