Leandra en Wian is twee sulke gemaklike, vriendelike en warm mense, 'n paar minute na ek hulle ontmoet het het hulle reeds soos ou vriende gevoel! Hulle is so pragtig saam en so verlief, dit was 'n fees om hulle af te neem. Ek kan nie wag om die beeldskone klein Leah te ontmoet nie! This friendly little girl with the most beautiful blue eyes and cutest curly red hair has definitely got a head start in life. She is surrounded by a loving, fun family who laughs easily and clearly knows how to enjoy and appreciate the little things in life. For Sue's 70th birthday all her children and grandchildren came to visit, literally from all across the globe! There's no better excuse to have family portraits taken when you have such a joyous reunion and momentous occasion to celebrate. Franci en Craig is 'n pragtige paartjie en so gemaklik in mekaar se geselskap dat hulle baie gou dood natuurlik voor my lens was. Dit het my die voorreg gegun om elke emosie en spesiale oomblikkie tussen hulle werklik te kon vasvang. Hulle liefde vir mekaar straal uit elke foto en die sagtheid en teerheid wat daarmee saamgaan maak dit ekstra mooi. Hierdie dogtertjie is voorwaar gelukkig om die twee vir ouers te kry en in soveel liefde ontvang te word!
The day I went with Niall and Suzanne to De Uijlenes just outside Gansbaai it was pouring wet and the "aisle" in the enchanted forest was so drenched they had it covered with a make-shift bridge. This was also the weekend that Vergelegen Medi-Clinic in Somerset-West got flooded. So after doing a venue inspection in those conditions, we were prepared for the worst! On the morning of their wedding day it drizzled a little, but that was it, and after that the two of them were blessed with an absolutely perfect day! Everyone was so relaxed and had so much fun that it was just an absolute pleasure to photograph this wedding! Lucrecia and Andrej live in Frankfurt and during a recent visit to South Africa, they wanted to do a family shoot to celebrate Adrianna's African roots on her first birthday. When looking at her happy face on these photos you would never say she was battling a stomach bug all week. Their time in Cape Town was limited and they decided to go through with the shoot, and even though I was a bit skeptical, this brave little girl was a real trooper! It was wonderful to meet you three and wonderful to spent a perfect evening on Clifton beach with you!
The day I called Desiree to tell her their photos from their maternity shoot is ready, she had much bigger news for me. Little Ethan decided to surprise his parents and arrived two weeks early on that very same day! We did his newborn shoot just 9 days later and even though he is tiny he is just so perfect and adorable! I hope you enjoy these photos and every second with your darling little boy!
Roxy wants to embark on a career in modeling/acting and needed some photos for her portfolio. She's had no experience in front of the camera yet but is an absolute natural! Apart from being just gorgeous, she reminded me a bit of a mix between Edie Sedgwick and Winona Rider and I just love how her personality shines through on the photos. These two are clearly in love and so comfortable and relaxed in each other's company it was too easy to get these dreamy images! This is why I love engagement shoots. All the expectation and excitement of a new life together can be seen in their eyes every time they look at each other. I literary sat with a smile on my face as I was editing these.
