Helette

Marette is a very dear friend of my mine and we've known each other for almost 20 years. She met the love of her life whilst working in London and now lives there permanently with Stuart and their two miracle twin boys. We therefor don't see each other as often as we would like to and I haven't even met the boys yet! So, when she called me in September to say that they will be visiting SA with the boys over the December holidays I was beyond thrilled. They rented a gorgeous house in Yzerfontein and we organised a lifestyle shoot right there and then. The Herbst siblings, together with their families, came together from near and far to celebrate their mom's 70th birthday. She loves trees and all she wanted was some photos with her whole family in nature. This shoot was filled with laughter and so much fun! Enjoy the photos!

Dis vir my altyd so lekker om die Burgers af te neem as hulle kom vakansie hou op Pearly Beach. Mooiste gesin van binne en buite en hulle al vier werk altyd so opvallend mooi met mekaar. As daar soveel liefde is en kan mens maar net die knoppie druk en elke foto is spesiaal. Die dag was besonder winderig en koud en die arme kindertjies het verkluim. Maar hulle was baie dapper en het uitgehou tot die einde!

This family is just absolutely gorgeous inside and out. They come to Hermanus from Johannesburg every year for their annual holiday. We met on Grotto beach on one of the most beautiful evenings for their family photos. Except for a chilly wind that had the girls shivering for the last bit of the shoot everything was just perfect. Enjoy!

Soms ontmoet mens iemand en dit voel asof jy mekaar al lankal ken en die oulike gesin van Stellenbosch het sommer dadelik soos ou vriende gevoel. Ons het so lekker gesels en gelag tydens die fotosessie, die tyd het gevlieg! Hoop julle geniet die foto's!

Ek het vir Anri amper 20 jaar gelede ontmoet in my eerste jaar in Minerva waar sy toe 'n HK lid en sêrleier was. Ek het haar daarna nooit weer gesien nie en groot was my verbasing toe ek die navraag vir foto's ontvang en haar gesig op haar WhatsApp profielfoto herken. Ons woon al vir jare in dieselfde dorp en loop mekaar nooit raak nie! Ons het die mooiste middag saam in Vergelegen spandeer en dit was 'n absolute fees om haar pragtige gesin af te neem. Dit is die oulikste en vriendelikste drie kinders wat jy jou kan indink. Geniet die foto's!

There certainly is a lot of love to go around between this family and their furry (and feathered) friends! Between Dora, her husband and her daughter they have 6 dogs and a parrot . These pets are dearly loved family members even though the three little ones are all stone deaf by now. But these pets are so well behaved it was no trouble at all to get them to do what we want, even though some couldn't even hear us at all. What a blessing it is to be able to share our lives with pets. Keep yours safe this holiday season!

Vir hierdie post was dit amper ontmoontlik om net 'n paar foto's te kies vir die blog. Daar is soveel liefde en teerheid en spesiale oomblikke in elke foto vasgevang dat ek nie anders kon as om amper almal op te laai nie. Om 'n babatjie van tussen 1 en 2 jaar oud te hê, is in my boek van die heel spesiaalste tye wat die lewe kan bied. En soveel te meer as dit die eerste baba is. Die wêreld kom tot stilstand en alles wentel rondom hierdie nuwe mensie wat jy uiteindelik kan begin leer ken en jy sien weer die wêreld om jou deur die oe van 'n kind. Vat dus die tyd en blaai deur al die baie foto's en beleef (of herleef) die absolute oorvloed van liefde!
