Natasha and Alten

I can't even begin to describe how much fun this engagement shoot was! It was filled to the brim with lots of love and spontaneous laughter. Natasha and Alten are both just the nicest people you could imagine, they felt like old friends within minutes. They are clearly madly in love and enjoy each other's company tremendously. But the most beautiful of all is the way he looks at her. If they can keep this love and friendship alive, they are going to have the most beautiful wedding, marriage and life together. Natasha and Alten, it was wonderful to meet you and I wish you both all the best. May the rest of your lives be filled with joy and love!

Judy and Graeme

Judith and Graeme are from the UK, but they love South Africa and have been here four times before already. Their son Stuart gave them this photoshoot as a Christmas gift to use on their fifth visit. And what a privilege it was to meet these two inspiring people. They are literally making the most of every second they are spending in our beautiful country and soaking up every ray of sunshine. They had an action packed day every day and it was a challenge to carve an hour out of their busy traveling schedule for this shoot! Made me realise again we have to open our eyes daily to the beauty around us and to enjoy every moment to the fullest. It's such a blessing to live here!

Rudd and Lucille

It's been 15 years since Rudd and Lucille got married and they decided it was time to get some nice shots of them as couple again. They had to attend a wedding in Stellenbosch one sunny afternoon and got me to take a few shots of them just before they had to be there - seeing that they were already dressed up and ready to go! It's not often that I get to shoot married people as a couple without their kids. I guess one can almost see it as a mini renewal of your vows in a way. Just to remind you of how much you still love each other and how much your love has grown over the years. Maybe I should convince my husband that we must do a shoot like this every ten years as an anniversary gift to ourselves...

Kirsty’s Matric Farewell

When Kirsty first contacted me and told me she wanted photos taken for her matric farewell on their beautiful wine estate on the Helderberg mountain with spectacular views over Cape Town and the ocean I got very excited. But when the day finally came, it thankfully didn't rain, but everything was soaking wet and soggy. Definitely not the type of terrain you want a girl to trot in who's dressed to the nines (in very sexy shoes) and ready for her big night out! So we had to work with what we could, and I must say, I just love the dramatic look of the cloudy, misty skies in the photos. Even though we didn't even begin to exploit all the photographic potential their farm has to offer, the love that was present on Kirsty's special day and the lengths her family and friends went to to make it extra [...]

Keith and Carina

Keith and Carina is getting married in October and I was very excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. In preparation for the big day, we went for a fun engagement shoot to get to know each other better and to get them more accustomed to the lens. With spring in the air and blossoms everywhere we got just the perfect backdrop for engagement photos!
