Richardsons and Family

I met Steed last year during a portrait session for his kettle bell training, and what a delight it was to meet the rest of his family! His gorgeous wife Jacqui is pregnant with their second son, and with her sister visiting from the States it was the perfect opportunity for them to have an all-in-one photoshoot. The challenge was to find a time that suited both their babies and mine, so we ended with a midmorning meet-up with less than ideal lighting conditions, and (depsite all the planning) one tired little man. But we had to make it work! Ryder was such a brave guy, everyone did their absolute best to keep him happy and get him to smile, and he gave his best until the tiredness simply won the battle and all he wanted was one of Aiden’s dummies. Even though we always want pictures of perfectly happy and smiling children, a family photo is just not “real” without at least one child in tears. So I simply couldn’t resist including a few shots of Ryder losing the batlle against his tiredness. To me they are some of THE cutest ones from this shoot!
