I was so very privileged to be a part of this amazing and intimate private family affair. Louise and Hilton’s close family came from all over the Western Cape to witness their little girl’s christening. Even Hilton’s 84 year old dad managed to attend. All of this happened on one of the most perfect autumn days in Hermanus. The minister of the United Church met them after the regular Sunday morning service and performed the ceremony with only the family present. Elli was absolutely the star of her own show, staring at the Minister the whole time as if hanging on his every word – even laughing at the right moments! He gave her a proper dousing but she came out happy and laughing. Just too adorable. Afterwards we went to the Fernkloof Nature Reserve to take a few family photographs to record this special occasion of having everyone together in one place. Elli is a very lucky girl, being surrounded by so much love!

The photographer has really captured the happiness of the day! I love the family pic with Ben kissing Elli on the head! Also, the family pic with Jane holding her specs is one of the nicest group pics I’ve seen! Actually they are ALL wonderful.
